Deputy President William Ruto got himself in a tragic situation on his way to Murang’a county when his motorcade smashed two innocent girls out of its way on friday.
In a quick rejoinder,The Deputy President apologized following the accident caused by one of the vehicles in his motorcade on Friday.
The Deputy President sent out an apology to the families of two children who were injured in the accident.
Through his official Facebook page, Ruto said he was sorry for the unfortunate incident in which the two girls are reported to have sustained minor injuries.
“My sympathy goes out to the two young girls injured in an accident involving my motorcade in Murang’a. They are being treated for bruises on their legs. I am sorry for the unfortunate incident,”posted the Deputy President.
The two girls are said to have been in the motorcade’s pathway when they were hit two but were rushed to hospital where they are recuperating.
The incident had ignited a huge online debate with majority online users questioning the speed used by Government officials motorcades and whether the roads were cleared before the DP’s tour.
