A female nominated senator caused drama in Nakuru after she forced herself into Deputy President William Ruto’s chopper.
Nominated Senator Martha Wangare, who has declared her interest in the Gilgil parliamentary seat, took a seat that was reserved for controversial Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri in the helicopter and vehemently refused to give it up.
The DP tried to intervene to end the commotion but Wangare maintained her stand and refused to get out of the helicopter that was heading to Gilgil town.
The incident is said to have happened at Kongasis Secondary School where Ruto was presiding in a fundraiser for women’s group.
Ngunjiri said the actions by the senator were shameful and embarrassed the DP and urged leaders to carry themselves with respect and dignity.
“Even if leaders are seeking recognition and want to be seen as influential and well connected, they should carry themselves with dignity and decorum,”Ngunjiri said.
