Renowned political analyst,Mutahi Ngunyi, has now admitted that CORD leader, Raila Odinga, may beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
In his analysis titled,Letter to Uhuru on Why Raila is Winning,Ngunyi says that President Kenyatta’s greatest enemy was his openness and willingness to engage the public.
Mutahi noted that the regular platforms he provides for Kenyans to criticise and question his Government was what was eating him from within.
“If you open yourself too much to public scrutiny and seek public approval, the public will control you and then its leaders will pee on your good intentions. This is what has happened to Uhuru Kenyatta,” Ngunyi said.
Mutahi advised the Head of State that instead of seeking to be in the good books of the public, he should give Kenyans “themadharaucard/contempt card” just like his predecessor, Mwai Kibaki, who remained silent on controversial issues and worked behind the scenes.
“But if you give the public themadharaucard or the contempt card you will control them. Like Kibaki, Uhuru should just move into a cold-blooded stone and bore us with absence and silence,” said Mutahi.
