The President has a message for students who will not be going to University

Candidates who scored below University standards in the recently announced KCSE should not be discouraged, says President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The President made the statement from State House Mombasa , where he assured the candidates that their dreams were still achievable despite the surprising turnaround of grades.

He also noted that despite there being little glory in the “A” department, the overall performance was right up there with those of previous years.

“Although there is a significant drop in the performance of this year’s KCSE examinations compared to the previous year, the results by and large posted a normal performance,” He was quoted saying

88929 candidates scored C+ and above, and they are all eligible to get into public universities, which is only 15.41 percent of the students compared to the 32.23 percent (169492) of students who made the cut in 2015.
